Meet Turquoise Ridge Events

Hey there! I'm Devyn, the sole wedding planner, coordinator, and point of contact for event and wedding planning services. I say "sole" because at times I'll mention a "we" or "us", and that's because my fiancé, Stephen, is my assistant when summoned. :) I was born and raised in Massachusetts and went to my first college in New York City. I then transferred to Reno to play soccer at UNR many years ago. 

• I've been in Reno/Tahoe for over 11 years and happy to call it home.
• My other "job" is coaching soccer to the youth of NorNev & NorCal! 
• I'm a big nerd. Like Star Wars and Transformers nerd. 
• I love to garden and forage. Nevada is full of amazing wild plants!
• I drink a lot of coffee. 
• I love details and making sure the little things are in order.
• I'm the mom who plans out her family's vacation with a full itinerary :) Yes, I'm proud of that. 

Stephen is a 3rd generation Nevadan Army Veteran, fisherman, father, and the business carpenter! Together, we're travelers, dry campers, and hot springers. Our love story begins at the start of the great pandemic of 2020. After a couple months of video chats and phone calls, we finally met for a taco date. We’ve been together every day since, creating a beautiful life and raising our daughters here in Reno, NV. 

Fun fact: He came up with the business name!

• 10+ years planning and coordinating birthday parties, baby showers, and graduation parties. 
• 6+ years planning and coordinating sports events and fundraisers. 
• 6+ years of general management experience.
• 6+ planning and coordinating smaller business events and gatherings. 
• 1 year in the wedding industry. Now into the 2nd :)

I became a wedding planner in Reno because of my love for love and all things weddings. Every couple is unique and so is there wedding. 

I received my wedding planning certification in 2022 but didn't start the business until 2023 when I left my full-time job to pursue my entrepreneurial passions. The learning never stops as I often take seminars and work with others to be a better wedding planner.

Together, we also help to run one of our local, non-profit gymkhana clubs, as President and Secretary. It's a western equine racing/competition club. What fun and rewarding work it is!

We are familiar with Bridgeport, CA, Alturas & Cedarville, CA, Charleston, SC, Phoenix, AZ, Twin Falls, ID, New England/New York, and of course the lovely Lake Tahoe. I'm open for traveling for your love and happy to assist your destination wedding planning in Lake Tahoe.
